The Personal Training industry currently has no fully recognised or official governing body. The 'legal requirements' that facilitate an individual to call him or herself a personal trainer are; relevant liability insurance cover and a current first aid qualification.

Due to the lack of an official governing body Personal Trainers Network strongly recommends that you verify the credentials of any person who is claiming to be a personal trainer.

All personal trainers should take pride in showing you their qualification certifications and insurance. Your request to verify these should not be taken as an offence in any way.
The fitness professionals registered with Personal Trainers Network are all independent contractors. It is impossible to fully vet or verify all of their details in depth so we request that our clients do this before acquiring the services of any of our registered trainers.

Personal Trainers Network accepts no responsibility for any mal-practice from our registered trainers and we respectfully request our clients draw their attention to each trainer's individual qualifications and industry body affiliations.
